From Conference Titles to NCAA Tournaments: CPC Alumni Continue to Shine

Several CPC alumni had outstanding performances across multiple conferences this postseason, helping lead their college programs to conference championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.

Hockey East
Julia Pellerin and the University of Connecticut captured the Hockey East Championship, continuing an impressive season for the Huskies. With the conference title secured, UConn earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

NESCAC
Amherst College, featuring Carlisle Brush and Tammy Zhu, won the NESCAC Championship last weekend with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Colby College in the finals. Amherst then moved on to the NCAA Division III Championship, where they will face Saint Benedict in the opening round and won 2-1 in overtime!

Williams College will also be represented in the NCAA Division III tournament. Isa Healey and Grace Johnson helped Williams earn a tournament berth, and defeated Plattsburgh in the first round 2-1.

CNE
Endicott College claimed the CNE Championship behind strong contributions from Tess Forte, Maddie Dinardo, and Kenzie Hydon. Dinardo delivered the biggest moment of the game, scoring the overtime game-winner to secure the title. Endicott advanced to the first round of the Division III NCAA Tournament, where they lost 3-0.

Little East

Bree Ricker and Geena Cookinham helped lead Norwich University to the Little East Championship. With the conference title, Norwich earns a first-round bye in the NCAA Division III tournament and will face Hamline University in the Quarter Finals. 

UCHC
Sophie Gregory and Elmira College captured the UCHC Tournament title. Elmira will continue its postseason run in the Division III NCAA Championship, where they will face Amherst in the Quarter finals after defeating Augsburg in the opening round 3-1.

MAC
Danielle Longuemare and Wilkes University won the MAC Championship, earning their spot in the NCAA Division III field. Wilkes opened the tournament against Adrian College with a 2-1 win and will play Nazareth in the Quarterfinals.
